My brain hurts. I have lots to talk about, and yet I can't seem to start talking about any of it. I just can't think. So I'm going to punt and lift a Two Things Meme that Liv did about a week ago.
Punting . . .
1. Two names you go by: Mommy and Ewe
2. Two things you are wearing right now: Comfy black cotton pants that say 'It's All About Me.' all over them. And an old Bridge School Benefit t-shirt, Number IX.And, oh how I seriously miss those acoustic shows; they were, hands down, the absolute best. If you live in the Bay Area and you haven't been to one, look into going to one. They're usually the last show of the season at the Shoreline Ampitheatre and well worth the cold.
3. Two things you would want (or have) in a relationship: Love, trust and loyalty. Because I require three things, apparently.
4. Two of your favorite things to do: Watch my boys laugh and laugh and laugh; and go to dinner and a movie with my husband.
5. Two things you want very badly at the moment: The winning numbers for tomorrow night's lottery, and a long, child-free morning lie-in, a morning lie-in that drifts into the early afternoon.
6. Two pets you have/had: Suki, a huge black cat that became 'mine' when I was just six months old, and Jade, a lovely little tuxedo cat who suffered from epilepsy.
7. Two people you think will fill this out: Two fellow-can't-think-of-anything-to-say-right-now bloggers…?
8. Two things that you did last night: Browsed Tescos for an hour of lovely solitary shopping, then came home and surfed the internet.
9. Two things you ate today: A bag of chocolate chip cookies (lunch) and a baked potato.
10. Two people you last talked to: My husband and Ramekin.
11. Two things you're doing tomorrow: Taking the boys to a playgroup in the city centre in the morning; picking up our weekend visitors, G's parents, who will be arriving on the train tomorrow.
12. Two longest car rides: California to the gulf coast of Florida for the Christmas holidays when I was about four. It's the only time in my life I've ever been car sick.
And from my house to the auto-mechanic when I was about 16 or 17: BioDad (not to be confused with 'Dad') asked me to take our van to he shop and said he would follow. What he failed to mention was that the van was going in because the brakes were going, and guess what, they went. Just as I was approaching a busy intersection and I had a red light. Shudder. I still don't know how I made it across that intersection without getting hit. It felt like it took forever, in slow motion, because I just went through it, dead red, surrounded by angry cars, unable to stop, hand on the horn, scared silly.Who does that to their own kid?
13. Two favorite holidays: Halloween, because, well, it's Halloween, people. And St Swithun's Day because it reminds me of my dad, a man who always remembered quirky little holidays.
14. Two favorite beverages: Ice tea and diet coke.
15. Two people no longer alive who you'd like to talk to: My Dad. And I'd like to reserve both conversational opportunities for him, if you don't mind.
So that's my two pence. What are yours?

13 bleats:
i just want to know if you call him "BioDad" when you speak to him (IF you speak to him, I suppose...)
I'll keep checking for the lottery news - I am sure it's your week, or month! :-D
Down here, some of us watched the pix of the amazing RUNNING less-than-a-year old baby and were suitably impressed.
nice lifting! thanks for playing! iced tea? is that hard to come by in the UK? such a southern staple, i know...
LOL I love your pants!
Love the new look - I'm assuming it's pretty new; I can't keep up with my bloglines these days!
(wish I could talk with my dad again, too.)
You know, naming just two pets I've had would be a hard thing for me - I've had a depressing number of animals pass through my life.
ah! an hour *alone* in tescos. i'm with you on that one -- luverly!
am off home now myself, with a swing by tesco's express for some chocolate:)
I think that I may in dire need of a bag of chocolate chip cookies for lunch as well.
MMMMMM....Chocolate chip cookies.
Very cool to learn more about you. St. Swithun's Day...you know,I think it was you who brought that to my mind...you blogged about it once?
Memes are great for when you can't think. Light and fun.
Oh, that drive with no brakes sounds very very scary! (I had a similar drive, but thankfully there were no intersection issues...)
I've never been to a Bridge School concert. Sounds fun!
A layabout morning and an hour to shop alone...heaven
